International Day 2019
The annual BISZ International Day was held late November with the aim of raising money for the Emergency Surgical Ward of the Sisters of Mercy Hospital in Zagreb. They contend with over thirty thousand responses annually and require all the assistance possible. We are proud to announce that we raised 13612 HRK to help their cause which is truly a fantastic effort. Parents, teachers and students prepared amazing stands from eleven different countries: Croatia, UK, Italy, Switzerland, Russia, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, China, Venezuela and Peru. Students studied their countries and prepared posters and made arts and crafts. Amidst our visitors, we were honoured to have the UK Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia Mr. Andrew Dalgleish attend our special humanitarian fundraiser. One of the other highlights of the day was the performance by internationally acclaimed musicians Ana and Mario Rucner. A big thank you goes to all the parents who helped prepare traditional dishes.
