Ovaj je tjedan održano proglašenje najboljih sportaša Grada Zagreba. Jedan od dobitnika priznanja je i naš ravnatelj dr. sc. Martin-Tino Časl kojemu je uručen Trofej za životno djelo u sportu. Dr. Časl je u natjecateljskom sportu (stolni tenis, tenis, košarka i rukomet) već punih 56 godina. Godinama kao natjecatelj, a posljednih 16 godina kao Predsjednik Stolnoteniskog kluba Dr. Časl, Dopredsjednik Hrvatskog stolnoteniskog saveza i Zagrebačkog stolnoteniskog saveza te član Izvršnog odbora ženske europske Lige prvakinja. Za to vrijeme je njegov klub bio 16 puta prvak Hrvatske, 7 puta osvajač kupa Hrvatske, pobjednik Kupa Mediterana (djevojke) te finalist toga kupa (mladići). Dva puta su osvojili Srednjoeuropsku Superligu te još 3 puta igrali finala. Kruna karijere je bila osvojena europska Liga prvakinja 2018. godine te finale iste 2019. godine. U lipnju ove godine djevojke su osvojile Europski trofej za žene kao 6. različitu titulu. Niti jedan klub u povijesti nije osvojio toliko različitih natjecanja. Prije ulaska u taj profi sport, učenice i učenici naše škole su 18 puta bili srednjoškolski prvaci Hrvatske (9 puta mladići i 9 puta djevojke), dvostruki europski srednjoškolski prvaci 2007. godine, a dvaput su igrali finala svjetskog srednjoškolskog prvenstva (2010. mladići i 2012. djevojke) i djevojke su 2010. godine bile treće na svijetu. U amaterskom stolnom tenisu sa svojom je ekipom bio 8 puta za redom prvak prvog razreda SOKAZ-a te osvojio 5 puta Zimski kup. Sve to je prepoznato od Sportskog saveza Grada Zagreba te je nagrađen Trofejom za životno djelo. U ime dobitnika dr. Časl se zahvalio kratkim govorom uz jasnu poruku da ovo nije kraj te da ima još puno pobjeda i ciljeva za ostvariti. Na slikama se može vidjeti u društvu pojedinačnih sportaša godine zlatnih olimpijaca Sandre Elkasević, sjajnih veslača braće Martina i Valenta Sinkovića te njihovog trenera g. Nikole Bralića. Na Trofeju su mu čestitali brojni nazočni proslavljeni sportaši osvajači odličja na olimpijskim igrama, svjetskim i europskim prvenstvima, gradonačelnik Grada Zagreba g. Tomislav Tomašević te Predsjednik Republike Hrvatske g. Zoran Milanović koji je u razgovoru pohvalio našu školu i dr. Časla nazvao vrhunskim pedagogom.

With hundreds of titles from a range of genres, subjects and areas of interest, students at Privatna gimnazija Dr. Časl who follow the Cambridge International Education IGCSE, AS & A level programme can truly value what it means to have a library at their school. Reading lights up your entire brain. A 2013 study by Emory University measured readers' MRI scans as they read a book. They found that the deeper readers went into the story, the more areas of their brain were activated. Even more surprisingly, this activity stayed elevated for several days after participants finished the book. The more you read, the stronger these complex networks of activity become.
